Templates

Templates are the product: every one arrives looking finished, with real-feeling copy and photography written for a plausible owner — never lorem ipsum. Each template ships with three looks (palette, type pairing and shape combinations), so one template covers several moods.

Browse them with previews at openspace.dev/templates or in Studio’s gallery.

  • Pages: home, about, a main offering page (services, work, menu, programs…), a way to get in touch, plus pages for the type of site — a journal, events, a schedule, a shop.
  • Demo content for a fictional owner, so you see the finished state. Replace it with yours.
  • Photography under licenses that allow redistribution, recorded in media/LICENSES.json.
  • Three looks shown in the gallery.
  • Personalization: your site name and tagline are written in when the site is created.

All fonts are openly licensed (SIL OFL). Template designs are CC BY 4.0.

Because content and presentation are separate, you can try another look — even another template’s look — at any time. A look is just a set of Site Styles choices (palette, fonts, spacing, corners, buttons, motion, image treatment), so your pages, words and images stay exactly where they are.

  • In Studio, open Site Styles and change those choices directly; every change can be undone.
  • With your AI connected, ask for a look by name — “try Harbor’s Riverside look” — and Claude applies it with apply_template_look, as a draft you can keep or undo.

Templates are data, not code, so designers can make them without writing React. See Contributing templates.
